3 day old chicks: Buff Orpington, Australorp, Leghorn, Silver Laced Wyandotte
Hatched April 6, 2016
8 Week old chicks. Coucou Maran, Silver Laced Wyandotte and the mystery chick. Currently based on the hood and the green legs we’re suspecting that mystery chick is Wyandotte/Easter-egger cross.
6 weeks old. Fully feathered and out in the coop, but still separated from the older hens to prevent bullying. Looking more and more like adults but still have not fully developed combs.
4 Weeks Old. Almost fully feathered, probably ready to go outside in the next week.
3 week old chicks: Coucou Maran, Silver Laced Wyandotte and ??. Our best guess at this point is that the yellow one is an Ameraucana based on her resemblance to past chicks of that type and the fact that she has the characteristic green legs.
2 weeks old. Lots of wing feathers. Thinking the yellow one is almost certainly not a Silver Laced Wyandotte; besides the color difference she is larger than the others.
11 days old. WIng feathers developing.
The yellow “Silver Laced Wyandotte” is looking less and less like the others.
One week old Chicks. Coucou Maran and Silver Laced Wyandotte. We’re wondering if the more yellow Wyandotte might be mislabeled, since she looks so different from the others. We’ll find out eventually.
